On Tuesday, November 22nd, Hilltop road Public School was excited to be part of the launch of the Kmart Wishing Tree at Stockland Mall in Merrylands. We have been involved in this annual event for many years, and were once again there to bring some extra cheer to the day. Our Junior Dance Group and Junior Choir both performed for the crowds at Kmart as they presented the Wishing Tree, ready for this holiday season.
Kmart works together with the Salvation Army and Mission Australia to gather donations of gifts at Christmas time each year. Over its 29 years, the Wishing Tree appeal has collected and distributed more than 8 million gifts to those in need - young and old. We were proud to help make the launch of the Wishing Tree even more special with our signing and dancing. Thank you to all of the students involved for doing a fabulous job representing our school, and to Mrs Lawrence,Mrs Longe and Mrs Baddour for making the event possible.
