Year 6 PBL Success

Earlier this year, Hilltop Road Public School's year 6 students completed a PBL project involving conservation of the Sumatran Tiger. This project involved raising awareness of the threats to the tiger, and funds to support its protection. The funds were donated through Taronga Zoo's Tiger Conservation program, and the hard work of our students clearly made an impact as the zoo sent us a video to thank them. Well done to our year 6 students for making a difference!

Last term. Year 6 completed a project about the refugee experience. Andrew and Tina from Refugee Advice and Casework Service (RACS) visited students to thank them for their hard work and effort in raising money and awareness about Refugees and Asylum Seekers. They were very impressed with the dedication and empathy demonstrated by the students in making a difference to our community.
