Kids Teaching Kids

On Tuesday August 28, a group of our Year 4 students were very luckly to take part in the opportunity to visit Sydney Airport as part of the Kids Teaching Kids initiative. The Kids Teaching Kids model aims to inspire the leaders of the future with an environmental conscience. It draws on local environmental issues as a theme and focus for learning while fostering resilience and self-esteem for students as they learn that they have the power to change the world around them.

During their excursion, our Year 4 students went behind the scenes at the airport and learnt about how their systems work. More importantly, they studied sustainabilty and looked at ways to run the airport with an environmental conscience. It was an invaluable experience for our Kids Teaching Kids team.
