This week, Hilltop Road Public School farewelled one of our valued Deputy Principals, Mrs Renee Brown. Mrs Brown joined our school in 2015, and has made an amazing impact on our students, staff and community during her time at Hilltop Road. She has led initiatives to improve teaching and learning, supported teachers with their professional development, run extra-curricular activities to enrich the students’ experience, supported student welfare and been actively engaged with our parents and community, to name just a few of the countless ways she has made a difference.
To give Mrs Brown the send-off she deserves, grades gathered in various areas of the school to present her with gifts and convey their well wishes and messages of thanks. Mrs Brown was chauffered between grades in the very special Bunny Mobile, and each grade found a way to make their moment memorbale. All of our students, staff and community members will hold on to fond memories of Mrs Brown, and her impact at our school will last long after she has exited our gates.
Hilltop Road Public School will always remember and be grateful for Mrs Brown’s leadership. As she moves on to her new role as Deputy Principal at Alex Avenue Public School in Schofields, we wish her all the very best. We know she will continue to do amazing work at her new school and they will be very lucky to have her. Farewell, good luck and we will miss you Mrs Brown.
